ARC Review: Claimed (Club Sin #1) by Stacey Kennedy

Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited—and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.

Presley is different than the other submissives Dimitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in him far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.

This is a BDSM book. BDSM isn’t my usual go-to read but this was a good book nonetheless. Even with all the D/s written in this book there was a love story and that is what I like to read.

We get to see two people grow and learn to understand aspects of themselves because of their relationship.

Presley is new to the scene and has to be trained as a sub. She has to learn what her limits are. Her Master also helps her to handle things outside of the bedroom that she didn’t realize were issues. I think that is another perk of having a Master. He (or she) can teach their sub a lesson in a way that can’t be done normally. By ‘teach a lesson’ I mean help their sub come to a realization about their self.

This book is well written and I would recommend it to people that are into BDSM. I am sure there are books more hard core than this one. With Presley being new to it all, Dmitri didn’t push too hard so I think things were pretty tame.

Book two is about her friend Cora and she has been in the scene for a while so we might get more.

  1. Great review, Carrie 🙂 I agree with you in that is was nice to have a blend of sweetness and BDSM without it being too hard core. The emphasis on the romance portion just added to the overall appeal.
