Review: Whore by Cara Faith Donovan

Blurb

Taylor Ross shows up in the coffee shop I work in on the worst possible day of my life. Sharing the bad news that his father, one of my favorite customers, has passed away it adds to an already screwed up week. Everything I’ve worked for has blown up in my face and to top it all off I’m pretty sure I’ll be homeless at the end of the month.

Be wary of sexy strangers offering gifts! His father has written me into his will and until that moment I didn’t know he was a multi-billionaire who owned one of the largest companies in Chicago. Taylor offers me a job, a new place to live, and a chance for the future I’ve been working toward only to be thwarted time and time again.

Why would a man as beautiful as him worry about a young woman with nothing who was still trying to pay for college? It seems like he could be the answer to all my dreams! I’m swept into his world of money and power and for the first time in my life I am filled with hope. There’s only one problem. He has a secret that could destroy more than just my future. How far was I willing to go to have everything my heart desired?

My Review

I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Honestly? I wanted this book to be longer!

Laura works in a coffee shop which isn’t really helping her reach the goals she has for herself.

Enter Taylor.

Taylor gives her an offer she can’t refuse. (Yes, a cheesy quote. You’ll live. ♥)

This was a short and sweet … hot read. Taylor and Laura know they want each other but they both want different things.

Even though this book was short, it didn’t feel rushed like some books do. This is the type of book I would read to get myself out of a book hangover. It has a good story but it isn’t long enough to get me book drunk.
