The ride of her life . . .
Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy—until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa’s pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower.
Climb on and hold tight . . .
In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he’s the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa’s acting, it’s clear she’s falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker’s secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa—or ride away forever . . .

I have to admit, when I first heard there was going to be a book about Joker I was frantically searching through the earlier books for any mentions of him. I know he got his name because he doesn’t smile. (I see what they did there.)
My book bestie and I squee’d when we saw this was available on Net Galley. I immediately requested it then proceeded to devour the book.
At the beginning I did the face fan. You know the one. When you are trying to stop the tears that are welling in your eyes from falling? Yeah. That one. My heart was breaking for Carissa. I hardened my heart and pushed through.
We get the POV of both characters which is a plus for me. I like to know what is going on in everyone’s head. (I am the reader. I should know!) Joker and Carissa both have issues that affect their daily lives. Some are just more out in the open than others. I just loved both of them!
Guess who else is in this book? Tack! *swoon* We get to see a ton of our favorite KA characters and now I want to do a reread of all of them. Just saying.
Bonus for me: Carissa’s nickname is my name in real life so I was crazy excited to see my name in a KA book!
